He is a lawyer working for the Legal Aid Society in New York City. Unlike his fellow graduates from law school, he wasnt in the job for riches. He wanted only to serve others, to give of himself. But Jeremiahs altruism was its own form of greed. Where they wanted to acquire more possessions, Jeremiah wanted to do more good. He wouldnt be satisfied with doing his small part, and he was willing to give away his very salvation to try and save all of mankind. But Jeremiah discovers that even being too good can be corrupting, and there is a terrible price to be paid by many. Small Victories by Daniel Kaminski
